At Jute Gardens we are focused on the well-being of the people who live and work in the region where our products are produced. The jute that we use in our products is sourced from India.
We support The Gold Standard, an organization established in 2003 by WWF and other international NGOs to ensure projects that reduced carbon emissions featured the highest levels of environmental integrity and also contributed to sustainable development. Through The Gold Standard, we support the 100.5 MW Wind Power Project in Madhya Pradesh, India, a clean electricity program that has played an important role in reducing CO2 emissions and will continue to contribute to the economic growth of the vicinity.
This project does more than help to reduce CO2 emissions. The Orange Renewable is an organization in India that receives benefit from The Gold Standard. The Orange Renewable is a wind power project that works in partnership with the local population. They are dedicated to initiatives that improve the quality of life in the project's area. They invest back in the local community through investments in infrastructure, education, clean water, and medical supplies.
